Welcome to the ProcessWire Wiki

This wiki is very much a Work in Progress; its final intention to become a full manual for the creation of website and applications using the ProcessWire framework.

ProcessWire is both a CMS (Content Management System) and a CMF (Content Management Framework) which allows a developer to create their own structures and ways of managing content rather than being restricted to and having to corrupt a basic article system.

If you are new to ProcessWire, please download the most recent version and follow the Small Project Walkthrough. You can find further information using the API and the very active and helpful Community Forums.

How this wiki is laid out

There are five main categories - Templates, Template Files, Fields, Pages and Setting Up. The majority of information will be in one of these categories or a sub-category. To help you find things there are other categories like Long Tutorials, Code Snippets and so on. Many articles are linked to more than one category where that is helpful or their subject straddles more than one category.

Helping Out

Please help out by adding content and checking any articles in the Drafts or Pending categories. Please contact Ryan through the forums for a Wiki Account.

The Help has some guidance on writing articles for the ProcessWire Wiki as well as how the category structure works and details about a few useful templates.
